At least, it has the potential to be…

Fail compilations abound. They are entertaining if you enjoy watching other people’s painful and ill-advised attempts at achieving notoriety amongst their peers. If done right, compiling other people’s failures can be edifying, and that’s what we have here.

The difference is that each scenario of silly cycling is accompanied by a step-by-step commentary of what the context is, what the silliness is comprised of, and what the smarter, more sensible, and not least, the safer thing to do is. In a word, these documented fails are turned into demonstrable advice. There are a ton of these, but below are two at random. If you are new to commuting by bike, these provide really good examples of what you are likely to encounter in traffic, and if you are a seasoned cyclist, they serve as a good reminder to keep vigilant at all times, to practice caution, and use your brain. Watch and learn. Don’t be one of the silly cyclists.
